Based in Linlithgow, Bob provides wealth management advice to clients the length and breadth of the country.
Prior to joining the financial services industry, he spent 11 years working as an assistant research chemist for BP. Thereafter, he decided to embark on a major career change. During his 35 years as a Financial Adviser, he has established many working relationships with clients and companies across a wide variety of sectors. He has developed a broad understanding of the need for specific financial requirements – whether personal or corporate.
Bob is committed to ensuring that his industry knowledge remains relevant and current by placing strong emphasis on his own personal development. This, along with the pride and dedication that he places on developing solid personal relationships with his clients, ensures that he is able offer a rounded, professional and principled service.
Outside of his business, Bob is a sports fan, having played both squash and tennis to a national level. Together with his partner Sue, he regularly enjoys going to live music events in the UK and the USA.
Charity is also important to Bob and he regularly gives to various charities within the UK.
Sue has worked in the Financial Services sector since 1987. Starting with Abbey Life Assurance, she was employed as a Premier Adviser Line Consultant. Sue then moved to Sutherland Mayfair to assist her partner, Bob Murray in building up a successful Practice.
Sue ensures she delivers first class service to all of Sutherland Mayfair's clients and enjoys building and maintaining relationships with them.
Outside of work, Sue enjoys going to live music events in the UK and the USA with Bob. Now semi-retired, Sue is enjoying spending more time with family, friends and especially enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
Julie has worked in the Financial Services Sector since 1987. She started working for Sutherland Mayfair Wealth Management in February 2014 as the Practice Manager. Prior to this Julie worked for Aegon for 15 years, 8 years as a Section Manager where she obtained CF1 and FA2 Certificates in Financial Planning.
Julie is responsible for managing the office, coordinating the team and providing our clients with a high level of personal service.
Martin joined Sutherland Mayfair in June 2019, bringing with him 17 years experience in the industry.
Having previously worked as both an adviser and an IFA Consultant - working with clients and advisers across the UK - Martin has attained a broad and deep knowledge of the UK Financial Advice industry and developing bespoke solutions for clients needs.
Experienced in Investment, Protection, Tax & Trusts, Pensions & Retirement Planning - Martin can provide advice on a wide range of needs to both personal and corporate clients.
Qualified to industry standard Level 4 Diploma level, Martin is currently studying for Chartered Status, the industry recognised gold standard. This allows him to continue to offer the best advice to clients and stay up to date with industry and regulatory developments.
Outside of work Martin is a big fan of sports, keeping fit and music.
Rebekah joined Sutherland Mayfair in June 2019, having previously worked in the Administration Centre based in Craigforth for 4 years she brings with her a wealth of knowledge regarding St. James’s Place and the products they provide. Along with all of the inside knowledge regarding the administration and processes of the business.
Rebekah is qualified with a diploma in Administration and Information Technology and will be supporting the Sutherland Mayfair Advisers with all of their administration needs.
Outside of work Rebekah is a big fan of sports (watching, not participating!) and has a love of Football, Formula 1 and Rugby. She is also occasionally dragged up a Munro (very much against her will).
